Coming from the A10...

  • Take the Bordeaux ring road (A630), direction ‘Aéroport de Mérignac’
  • Take exit n°7 : ‘Eysines, le Verdon’

Coming from the A62 ...

  • Take the Bordeaux ring road (A630), direction Pessac, then ‘Aéroport de Mérignac’
  • Take exit n°8 : ‘le Verdon, Lacanau’
  • Follow directions to Le Verdon

Coming from the A63 ...

  • Take the Bordeaux ring road (A630), direction ‘Aéroport de Mérignac’
  • Take exit n°8 : ‘le Verdon, Lacanau’
  • Follow directions to Le Verdon

Directions from ‘Le Verdon’

You will go through several villages (D1 & RN 215)

  • Le Taillan Médoc
  • Louens
  • Castelnau médoc (follow the roundabouts without going into Castelnau) direction le Verdon - St Laurent Médoc
  • Bouqueyran
  • Listrac Médoc
  • Le Tris
  • Le Fourcas

On leaving Fourcas, you will be on a dual carrageway, take the second exit on the right direction "Courbiac, les 4 moulins", and continue on that road; go straight through the village until you see a large flowering shrub, our house, with a tarmac driveway will be facing you.

Coming from across the Garonne Estuary

The 2 crossings on the ‘car ferry’ (Le bac) allows: mobility, sight seeing, time saving and the simple pleasure of crossing the Gironde esuary.

10km from the house :

The Blaye/Lamarque crossing (see timetable).
‘Le bac’, the ferry crossing Blaye/Lamarque between Blaye on the right side of the river to Gironde & Lamarque in the Médoc, within 20mins.

50km from the house :

The crossing Royan/le Verdon (see timetable)

If you'd prefer not to cross using the car ferry crossing ‘le bac’ from Soulac-sur-Mer and the right side of the river to Gironde, by coming from the motorway A10, you have two options, either from Bordeaux and the bridge (le pont) d'Aquitaine, or by the ferry crossing ‘le bac’ Blaye-Lamarque.

For your information, comparing the highway distances between the exit ‘Saintes’, motorway (autoroute) A10, and Soulac-sur-Mer :

  • By car ferry crossing ‘le bac’ Royan/Le Verdon : 50 km
  • By the bridge (le pont) d'Aquitaine and the Bordeaux ring road : 210 km
  • By the car ferry crossing ‘le bac’ Blaye/Lamarque : 130 km (touristic option)
